GAY*WATCH BERLIN celebrates queer resilience and community spirit, transforming a sense of powerlessness into lightness and joy. In a time marked by fear, and uncertainty, this project reminds us of the power of togetherness.

Inspired by David Hasselhoff’s iconic Baywatch anthem “We Are Ready,” the piece has been reimagined as a self-determined sing-along for all queers and their allies—a true karaoke of empowerment. Filmed in Marzahn-Hellersdorf at Lake Kaulsdorf, affectionately called Kauli, GAY*WATCH BERLIN embraces the local subcultural spirit while radiating a message that transcends boundaries. The lyrics celebrate community, sexual liberation, and the beauty of difference—a vibrant manifesto of hope and strength in challenging times. With joy and defiance, it proclaims to the world: “Don’t you fear, we Queers are here!”
